Origin: James River Bridge, VA

Parents: The adult pair nesting on the James River Bridge was Virginia and James. Both of these birds originated from the Leg-Mason building (formerly the USF&G building) in Baltimore, Maryland. Virginia was hatched in 1989 and James in 1990. James was first observed on the James River Bridge in 1992. Virginia appeared in 1993 and the pair nested for the first time in that year.
Hatching Date: Cirrus hatched on approximately May 1, 2004.
Brood Info: Virginia laid 3 eggs in 2004 only 1 of which hatched. Eggs were laid in a hollow beam on the south tower of the bridge. Cirrus was moved to a box on the roof of the north tower on May 18, 2004 to give her a better chance of fledging. Cirrus was banded and fitted with a transmitter on May 27, 2004/
