Texas Nightjar Survey Routes

Attention - All Routes are shown as 10-mile segments for demonstration. However, your route will only be approximately 9-miles depending on the spacing between points- there is no need to finish your route at the ending spot on the map - but you must begin counting at the starting point.

Note: Routes should appear along roads. If they seem displaced, use Google Earth for viewing.

Click the plus (+) beside "Features" to the left of the map to reveal all route names. Click a survey route name to zoom to the route on the map. Each route has two files; The first of each set refers to the entire route (blue) and the second refers to the starting mile (red). The beginning of the starting mile indicates placement of the first Nightjar counting stop. For further directions using Google Maps, click here.
