Education
B.S. in Biology, Concentration in Marine Sciences, Fairfield University (2001)
Professional Experience
I coordinate the Center’s outreach and development efforts. Please contact me if you would like to receive our quarterly newsletter or want to volunteer with us! I have also put extensive time into managing our extensive data resources & providing research support, since joining the staff in fall 2005.
My background is in coastal marine ecology and experiential education, as well as experience in several non-profits. Before coming to Virginia, I was an environmental educator and the internship coordinator for a non-profit focused on the Long Island Sound Watershed. I led canoe trips, hikes, and taught and designed outdoor and classroom curriculum about preserving ecosystems and conserving resources. My professional interests include avian migration patterns, wilderness medicine, wetlands restoration, and invasive species mitigation.
